Research Manager, Local Policy
Amanda Dewey conducts research on local-government efforts to adopt and implement equitable clean energy policy. Her areas of research include opportunities for energy efficiency in community choice aggregation programs and the equity implications of local energy efficiency approaches. Prior to joining ACEEE in 2021, Amanda worked at the University of Maryland and she served as the mayor of the Town of Berwyn Heights in Maryland. Amanda earned a PhD and Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and theatre from Vanderbilt University.
